Hello and welcome!

I’m Ruth, a writer and editor with more than twenty years experience across print, broadcast and online media including The Times and Channel 4 News.

I’m also a designer, creating sewing patterns for garments, accessories and homewares – many of which have featured in Love Sewing magazine and Simply Sewing magazine.

This, alongside an academic interest in artistic creativity (I’ve a doctorate exploring how affluence affects the creative drive), informs the unique perspective on creativity and wellbeing I write about here.
